Since then I've just been giving him resolve every level and he now has 102 resolve (well 92 + Sergeant's Sash). As I don't know what I'm doing build wise I've just sort of being trying things out, and at some point I wanted to give a bro "Rally the troops" so I picked my one-eyed guy who had ever so slightly higher resolve than everyone else. He had okay hitpoints but otherwise pretty terrible stats and I thought he wasn't long for this world. One of my early bros "died" in one of the first fights, or so I thought, he actually survived but lost an eye. I'm on my first playthrough (not counting a couple of early failures) so I have literally no idea what I'm doing 99% of the time, but I chose based on a combination of stats and a little bit of roleplay.
